Service updates for the holiday season

On behalf of the InvestNow team, we hope that all our customers have a relaxing and enjoyable holiday season.

Please note that the following days are public holidays:

  • Christmas Day — Tuesday 25 December
  • Boxing Day — Wednesday 26 December
  • New Year’s Day — Tuesday 1 January
  • Day after New Year’s Day — Wednesday 2 January

No trading will take place on those days, and InvestNow’s customer service team will not be available on these days. Additionally, we will have limited availability on the afternoon of Friday 21 December – you can still call us with any urgent queries, but for any other queries, we’ll get back to you on Monday 24 December.

Deposits and withdrawals

For deposits to your InvestNow transaction account, you can expect the funds to be available by 9am the following business day, subject to processing times for your bank. Deposits made during the weekend, or on a public holiday, are available on the morning of the business day after the next business day: for example, a deposit made on Christmas Day will be available in your InvestNow account by 9am on Friday 28 December, and a deposit made on Saturday 22 December will be available on Thursday 27 December.

For withdrawals from your InvestNow transaction account to your nominated bank account, the cut-off is 12pm for the withdrawal to be paid on the same day – otherwise the withdrawal will be processed on the afternoon of the following business day.

Buy and sell orders

Please be aware that some fund managers have reduced hours over the holiday period, and that this can result in buy and sell orders taking an additional business day to be processed on top of their usual timeframes. The below information will be updated as we get more specific advice from our fund managers and registries:

  • Nikko AM – all orders will take an additional business day between 24 December and 4 January.
  • Smartshares – NZX trading hours are abbreviated on 24 December and 31 December, which may cause delays for trades placed on those days.
