For those that may have missed our exciting news from earlier in the month, we are really pleased to have acquired the managed funds product line from RaboDirect NZ.  We see this as a fantastic endorsement of the InvestNow service and have no doubt that the RaboDirect customers, who switch to InvestNow, will soon enjoy the same benefits as our current customers.

For the RaboDirect customers – welcome, we are really looking forward to having you on board.

We thought we’d take this opportunity to answer some of the more common questions we’ve received from some of you since the announcement.

I’ve consented to switch to InvestNow – what happens next?

If you are new to InvestNow i.e. do not currently have a portfolio with us, RaboDirect will supply us with your account details, with which we will establish your new InvestNow account.  Having done this, we will be in touch asking you to review your details and accept the InvestNow customer agreement.  We will be in touch with you within a few weeks of you having provided your consent to RaboDirect.

Once your InvestNow account is established, you can start to build your portfolio, taking advantage of our no fees offering; the ability to invest as little as $50 per fund for regular investment plans; and to receive distributions as cash or have them reinvested.

If you already have an InvestNow account, there is not a lot that needs to happen.  We may be in touch if we have any questions, otherwise all that will remain is the transfer of your units held on RaboDirect being transferred to your InvestNow account (see below for more details).

When will my units at RaboDirect be transferred to your new InvestNow portfolio?

On, or around, the 31st of March next year RaboDirect will provide instructions to transfer your managed funds holdings to your InvestNow account.  There will be nothing that you need to do – we will be in touch with an update once this has been completed.

Can I manage multiple InvestNow accounts from one login?

Yes you can.  Using a single login (this is your e-mail address) you can switch between all of the portfolios you are linked to – making investment decisions, generating reports or simply monitoring your portfolios.  Take a look here at how this works.

Who is InvestNow and what are the custody facilities for my assets?

InvestNow is 100% owned by Implemented Investment Solutions (IIS), a Wellington-based specialist investment management company focused on meeting the specific needs and requirements of New Zealand investors.  Read more here about InvestNow and the IIS team.

InvestNow client funds are held in an independent custodial account which is run and operated by Adminis, who have been appointed to provide custody services to InvestNow. This ensures that there is complete separation of client assets from InvestNow as a business.  Read more here about how your assets are protected.
