Important Update: Octagon Asset Management Investment Manager Removal

We have been informed by Forsyth Barr Investment Management Limited (FBIML) that they have decided to cease offering Octagon Asset Management (Octagon) Investment Funds on the InvestNow Platform. Effective from 7th August 2026, the Octagon Australian Equities Fund, Octagon Balanced Fund, and Octagon New Zealand Equities Fund will be removed from the range of funds offered by InvestNow.

FBIML has advised that the removal of the Octagon funds from the InvestNow platform “…reflects Octagon Asset Management’s broader strategic decision and distribution strategy…”

There are two important actions that you, as an investor, need to complete:

1) If Octagon Investment Funds are in your Regular Investment Plan, please update your plan as soon as possible by removing the Fund(s) from it.

You can reallocate:

    • the contribution to other funds you have in your plan,
    • replace the Fund(s) in your plan with another fund available on InvestNow, or
    • if it is the only fund(s) you have in your plan simply make the plan inactive.

If no changes are made to your plan, we will action this on your behalf on Friday 31st July.

2) For all units you hold in the Octagon Australian Equities Fund, Octagon Balanced Fund, or Octagon New Zealand Equities Fund, irrespective of whether you have the Fund in a Regular Investment Plan, it would be prudent to raise a sell order before midday Wednesday 6th August. If no sell order is raised by this time, we will raise an instruction asking our custodian to liquidate any holdings, with the net proceeds transferred to your InvestNow Transaction Account upon settlement sometime after Thursday 7th August.
