The past month has been comparatively quiet for global and local markets, with the geopolitical headlines that unnerved investor throughout the middle of the year dissipating. Greg runs through the performance of major equity markets year to date as well as taking a closer look at the New Zealand economy, and whether the RBNZ is likely to cut the OCR any further at this point in the cycle. With the balance of news remaining positive, and a stimulatory monetary policy backdrop, equity markets remain on track for a robust fourth quarter.
